In December 2003, conservatives from Austin, Texas and the surrounding areas convened the Austin Townhall Conservatives. At the time, there were few - if any - organized conservative groups in the Austin area.

In the eight years since that start, ATC has met continuously, each month. We have often heard distinguished speakers, and entertained hearty discussion of conservative issues, projects, and action items. Through our networking efforts and information sharing, we have actively supported conservative causes locally, statewide, and throughout the nation.

Our members have become involved - often in leadership roles - with other, more specific conservative groups, such as those focused on the issues of Immigration Reform, Education Reform, Election Oversight, and many others.

Accordingly, the leadership of the Austin Townhall Conservatives have concluded that this organization has fulfilled its responsibility as a "seed" organization for Conservative Action in the Austin area.

For that reason, we have decided to discontinue the meetings of the Austin Townhall Conservatives, effective after January 3, 2012.

We especially thank:
Joe's Crab Shack

600 E. Riverside Drive, Austin TX
Phone 441-1010
which has provided a facility for our meetings for years. Their food and service are great! If you haven't tried their dining experience, you really should!

Thanks for your interest, and Best Wishes To All!

Your ATC Leadership team,
Brian

Will The Constitution Survive?

That's what the real political debate in America is now about. Two excellent sources of information about the Constitution are:

Constituting America, which provides indepth information about the Constitution and the Federalist Papers and other founding documents, and,

Freedom Works was founded in 1984. FreedomWorks recruits, educates, trains and mobilizes hundreds of thousands of volunteer activists to fight for less government, lower taxes, and more freedom. FreedomWorks has recently partnered with Glenn Beck to support both The 912 Project, and the Tea Party movement.
